Outer Banks, NC

The Outer Banks in North Carolina is a series of barrier islands that are connected by bridges and ferries. Duck, Corolla and Carova are located in the quieter northern section of the island. Attractions in this area include beaches (both sound side and ocean side), fishing, water sports, Currituck Lighthouse, the Corolla wild horses, shopping, dining, festivals, events and much more. Also part of the northern section of the islands is Kitty Hawk, Kill Devil Hills and Nags Head, all within minutes of each other and offering a wide variety of shopping, dining and attractions. You will find many public beach accesses, water sports, fishing piers, mini golf, The Wright Brothers Memorial, Jockey’s Ridge State Park, festivals, events and much more.
This area of the Outer Banks is home to five resorts managed by SPM Resorts. Barrier Island Station – Duck and Ocean Pines are located in Duck, Sea Scape Beach & Golf Villas is in Kitty Hawk, and Outer Banks Beach Clubs I & II are in Kill Devil Hills. Each resort has its own distinct personality and offers a variety of accommodations and amenities for your enjoyment. All are within an easy drive of year-round entertainment and attractions.
To the south, accessible by bridges with beautiful views, are Roanoke Island and Hatteras Island. Roanoke Island is surrounded by the sound and offers attractions that include Roanoke Island Festival Park, Elizabethan Gardens, Fort Raleigh National Historic Site, the North Carolina Aquarium and much more. Hatteras Island offers miles of beaches, Cape Hatteras Lighthouse, Rodanthe Pier, Pea Island National Wildlife Refuge, water sports, historic sites and much more. Then farthest south is Ocracoke Island, accessible by ferry. Ocracoke Island offers beaches, Ocracoke Lighthouse, Springer’s Point Nature Preserve, wild mustangs, fishing, shelling, water sports, shopping, dining, festivals, events and more.
